El 7 de diciembre se celebrará en Los Ángeles la décima edición de The Game Awards. Como cada año por estas fechas, la organización del evento ha anunciado los nominados. En la lista encontramos títulos como ‘Alan Wake 2’ y ‘Baldur's Gate 3’, que recibieron la mayor cantidad de nominaciones y, además, se perfilan como posibles ganadores de la categoría Mejor juego del año (GOTY, por sus siglas en inglés).
Geoff Keighley, la figura detrás del Summer Game Fest y de este evento, también ha nombrado a títulos como ‘The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’ y ‘Super Mario Bros. Wonder’, ‘Resident Evil 4 Remake’ y ‘Marvel's Spider-Man 2’ para el GOTY. ‘Starfield’, por su parte, ha sido el gran ausente para competir por el máximo galardón, situación que comparte con ‘Hogwarts Legacy’, pese a haberse consagrado como un superventas.
The Game Awards 2023 y la única nominación de 'Starfield'
Como veremos a continuación, The Game Awards 2023 tiene una treintena de categorías, pero la ausencia del título más importante de una firma dentro de la categoría Mejor juego del año puede ser decepcionante para algunos. Esto es lo que ha ocurrido con ‘Starfield’, uno de los títulos más esperados del último tiempo que nos prometía emocionante aventura espacial en un mundo abierto.
Cuando ‘Starfield’ finalmente llegó debía cumplir con las altísimas expectativas que se habían generado en medio de promesas y retrasos. Nos encontramos ante un título muy bueno en aspectos generales, pero que quizá no fue capaz de responder al hype que le rodeaba. En cualquier caso, para muchos jugadores ‘Starfield’ merecía una nominación destacada en The Game Awards 2023.
El proyecto de Bethesda ha conseguido una única nominación en el importantísimo evento del mundo de los videojuegos: una a la categoría Mejor juego de rol. Y no lo tendrá fácil ya que compite con ‘Baldur's Gate 3’, ‘Final Fantasy XVI’, ‘Lies of P’ y ‘Sea of Stars’. Ahora toca esperar menos de un mes para conocer los ganadores de todas y cada una de las categorías que señalamos con sus nominados a continuación.
